Introducing the Wreath Nester, developed in conjunction with TV's naturalist and wildlife cameraman Simon King. That is to say, we've gained many years of knowledge observing and photographing wildlife. The Simon King Wreath Nester is a fantastic addition to any garden.

The design principle is that many small wild bird species prefer an open-style nesting environment with easy access. However, this can cause an issue as little birds need protection from predators prying eyes. As a result, the open entrance with a nesting space tucked behind the sidewall and covered by the roof makes an ideal nest. The wreath is a great roosting place for small birds helping ensure their survival on cold nights and shelter away from predators.

The hand-woven wreath is easy to embellish with seasonal foliage. The weave and the wire gaps make for a perfect surface to attach twigs, sprigs, leaves and berries. Forming additional decorations and even camouflage to aid the nest in blending into its surroundings. Therefore, this is your chance to express yourself and your style as it will still be a welcome nesting site regardless of the decorations. Decorating the wreath can be an enjoyable activity to do with others should you choose to.

Designed to be of use throughout the whole year. When not used by birds as a nest during the breeding season, it can act as a roost or shelter during harsh weather.

As beautiful as the Simon King Wreath Nester looks, it does not come with the pictured decorations.

Siting:

Attach the lightweight nester into hedges, ivy or trees using wire. Alternatively, attach the wreath to walls using the hanging string or supplied spare loop of fixing wire. The base of the brushwood nester has a rattan landing platform. A low dividing wall separates the nesting or roosting space.

Maintenance:

Remove nesting material carefully between breeding seasons. On the other hand, leftover materials can attract bumblebees to nest within. The decorative foliage may require regular replacement depending on the materials used and the effect you are trying to achieve. But we'll leave that up to you!
